Hosting Clipstream Audio on your website
In order to view your Clipstream Audio on your website you must FTP a number of essential files to your remote server. If you haven't already, please go through the Quick Start process to encode an audio file.

Requirements:
  • Encoded Clipstream Audio files
  • An FTP or web development program
  • Access to a remote web server
  1. Locate the folder where you have encoded your Clipstream Audio files. In that folder you should see the following files:

Without any of these files your Clipstream Audio file may not play. (To learn about what these files are, please see: Essential Clipstream Audio files).

Note also the name of the .html file that has been generated. This file will have the same root filename as your audio file with the extention .html (openable by web browsers).

    ex.

  2. Open up your FTP or web development program and open up an FTP link to your remote server.
  3. Locate a folder on your remote site where you want the Clipstream Audio files to reside. Make a note of where in the web hierarchy this folder is.

Note: keep these files together or else you will need to rewrite some applet code to reference them.
  4. Upload all of the files in the default audio folder to the selected location on your remote site.
  5. Open up a web browser (ex. Firefox, IE, Navigator) and type in the URL of the folder on your website where you have uploaded these files and end the URL with the name of your generated .html file.

    ex. http://www.yourdomain.com/audiofiles/bigthing.html

The default generated page will open but this time playable from your web server.
