Clipstream Audio- High speed only
Clipstream Audio automatically detects the listener's connection speed and delivers the appropriate file so that both broadband and modem users can have an instant audio experience. In the case that the connection speed of the listener is known to be above 32 kbps, the file is in the 30 second range or less, or the playback is local such as a CD demonstration, the content owner may want to provide the high speed file only. To provide the *.32 Clipstream Audio file exclusively, there are only a few small changes to make. Upon encoding the Clipstream Audio files, you will have a *.20, a *.32, an audioclipstream.zip file, and perhaps some index files (*.20i, *.32i if random access was selected). For a high speed only project, simply ignore the .20 file(s) and alter the applet code that is generated in the code generator.
Here is an example: The applet code for this Clipstream Audio sample is listed below with the changes in black. (Changes to the default applet code that are not related to disabling the low speed file are the codebase statement, the Event parameter, and KeyURL instead of Key.) <!--
