Introduction
Clipstream Audio has been designed to eliminate the problems
associated with web
audio, allowing anyone with a modicum of web page building experience
to use their
existing skills, hardware and infrastructure to place effective
streaming audio on any web
page, email or banner advertisement.
This guide
has been compiled to demonstrate the implementation of Clipstream
Audio from the simplest single clip on a page to the more technically
enhanced custom players
and functionality driven by JavaScript. In addition, we will do
our best to identify the most
effective practices, common pitfalls, and known issues associated
with Java based
streaming audio.
That said,
it is assumed that all who read and use this guide will have had
experience
with creating and posting a web page to the Internet. Basic Internet
practices,
terminology, and methodologies will not be discussed. As well,
a basic understanding of
digital audio is assumed.
If you have
any questions or difficulties, please feel free to contact your
