Clipstream® Video 3 requires that the user have Java and JavaScript enabled in order to view the player applet. Follow this troubleshooting script to determine user problems.

Note2: Using a Screener Video
It may be useful to use a screener video before your important contente in order to screen out or route users unable to view Clipstream® toward help pages. A screener video is a very small video with audio you play at the begining of your survey or video section. If the user cannot view this small video, then route them accordingly.
Is the content viewable by other users? Test the content to see if the problem is isolated to that user or if in fact the content has not been deployed correctly.

Newer implementations of Clipstream® are embedded in a web page as a JavaScript link. If the user does not hava JavaScript enabled, you may also include regular applet code within noscript tags that require only Java-enabled.
To enable JavaScript in various browsers follow these instructions:

The user may have to restart their browser and return to the page with the video in order to see changes.
if JavaScript is enabled but still not seeing anything -->
The heart of Clipstream® is the Java language that enabled you to serve video to multiple platforms with a single implementation. The user must have Java enabled in order to view it.
To enable Java, follow the instructions on this page for the specific browser / OS

The most recent Clipstream requires® Java 1.4.1 or above for all features.
To verify if the Java version is current go here:

If Java version is older, then follow the prompts to upgrade to the most recent version.

6. If using the signed applet
If the user has the correct Java enabled and JavaScript is also enabled and they cannot view the video AND the signed applet is employed, the user may have missed or NOT authorized the signed applet when prompted. The user has to return to that page and authorize the signed applet.
At present, the signed applet is not compatible with MacOS.
