to support Clipstream™,

Netscape
Navigator 3.x:
From
the menu bar, choose Options > Network Preferences.
Select
the Languages tab.
Check
boxes labeled Enable Java and Enable JavaScript.
Netscape Navigator 4.x and 6.x:
From
the menu bar, choose Edit > Preferences.
Select
the Advanced category.
Check
boxes labeled Enable Java and Enable JavaScript.

From
the menu bar, choose Edit > Preferences.

the Advanced category.

box labeled Enable Java
JavaScript
is sometimes enabled by Clipstream developers for certain functions
that work in conjunction with Clipstream. To enable JavaScript,
repeat steps 1 and 2 and then click on Scripts and Windows.
Make
sure the box for "Enable JavaScript for Navigator" is
checked.

NOTE: With some old video card drivers, Java VM may respond poorly
if the video card is set to 32bit color. If the browser freezes when loading
a web page with Clipstream or if video playback is jerky, try changing
the color depth to 16 bit.
Java may
not be installed originally in some IE products. Please download
Microsoft's Java virtual machine here.
Internet
Explorer 3.x:
From
the menu bar, choose View > Options.
Select
the Security tab.
Check
the boxes labeled Run ActiveX scripts and Enable Java programs.
Internet
Explorer 4.x:
Internet Options.
Select
the Security tab.
Set
your security level to either Medium or Low.
Internet
Explorer 5.x and 6.x:
From
the menu bar, choose Tools > Internet Options.
Select
the Security tab.
Select the
default level button
Optional custom settings
If you have
custom settings and wish to keep them, click on the Custom Levels
button
In the Security
Settings list, scroll down until you find the "Microsoft
VM" options. Click on low or medium safety.

Launch AOL
Browser.
After the
browser loads, go to the Settings Menu on the top if the browser.
Click on
the pull-down window and click on Preferences

the Internet Properties (WWW) link in the Preferences dialogue

the Security TAB in the AOL Internet Properties dialogue
Choose 'Medium'
Security Level or lower.

Enabling
Java in Email Clients
Eudora:
From
the menu bar, choose Tools > Options.
In
the Options window, scroll down and choose Viewing Mail
In
the Viewing Mail box, make sure that "Allow executables
in HTML content" is checked
Outlook
2000 (v9):
From
the menu bar, choose Tools > Internet Options.
Select
Security Tab
Select 'internet
zone' under Secure Content
Then
under Mail Format tab, go to Message Format andsend the message in format: HTML.

Outlook
Express:
From
the main menu bar, choose Tools > Options > Security.
Under the
heading 'Virus Protection' and subheading 'Select the Internet
Explorer security zone to use': Select "Internet Zone (less
secure but more functional)"
Unfortunately,
the AOL email client does not yet support Java. We recommend using
one of the more powerful, full featured email clients that are available
such as Eudora, Outlook, or Messenger.
Note: The AOL email web interface log-on will support your Java
emails as will any Java enabled browser.

WebTV:
